Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire will premiere on Star Gold in Hindi on Saturday, 25 May 2024 at 7.30 PM.

Mumbai, 24th May, 2024: Star Gold brings the world TV premiere of Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, starring pan-India superstars Prabhas and Prithviraj this weekend. The epic saga of power, bloodshed, and betrayal unfolds against the backdrop of a violently contested kingdom, hinging on the bond between two friends-turned-foes.

Directed by the acclaimed Prashanth Neel and produced by Vijay Kiragandur and Chaluve Gowda, Salaar: Part 1 is a 2023 Indian Telugu-language action film. The ensemble cast features Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu. Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, the film follows the friendship between Deva (Prabhas) and Varadha (Prithviraj). Varadha enlists Deva's help to reclaim his throne from his treacherous father's ministers and relatives.

Star India acquires Telugu TV channel Maa

With Hotstar, Star India aims to change the way content is consumed in India

The idea, said Sanjay Gupta, chief operating officer, Star India, is to be a one-stop destination for users to consume premium content across genres and languages and, more importantly, at their own convenience. “There aren’t many platforms available to Indian consumers offering high-quality, curated content besides, say, YouTube,” he said.
