‘The Revenant’ To Premiere On Star Movies Select HD On October 15 At 9 PM

14 October 2016

As starkly beautiful as it is harshly uncompromising, the Oscar-nominated film ‘The Revenant’ is an immersive and visceral cinematic experience capturing one man’s epic adventure of survival and the extraordinary power of the human spirit. Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, this film showcases Leonardo DiCaprio fighting against all odds to just breathe and survive to ensure that his urge for vengeance does not go unfulfilled.

Inspired by true events, the movie narrates the tale of a legendary explorer and fur trapper Hugh Glass, who is brutally attacked by a wild bear during one of his expeditions of the uncharted American wilderness. In the accident, he gets partially paralyzed and is forced to watch the murder of his own son. That’s not all, as he is left to die by members of his own hunting team. Guided by sheer will and the love of his family, Glass navigates a vicious winter in a relentless pursuit to live and find redemption.
Star Movies Select HD brings to you one of the most tragic true stories of agony, revenge and betrayal. The agonizing journey with stunning cinematography by Emmanuel Lubezki, brilliant performance by Leonardo DiCaprio and the heart wrenching storytelling of director Alejandro González Iñárritu – no wonder then, that all three walked away with a well-deserved Oscar® at the 88th Academy Awards.
Let this gripping story take on you a journey that will leave you gasping for breath just like him in The Revenant premiering on Star Movies Select HD at 9 PM on October 15
