21st July, 2024: Star Maa has unveiled the new season 8 logo of their season of the sensational game show "Bigg Boss." Providing entertainment that every household in the Telugu states craves, and reaching national acclaim with its sensational moments, "Bigg Boss" has successfully completed seven series. Now, with some unpredictable changes to the format, "Star Maa" has announced the eighth season.

As soon as the new logo is unveiled on the channel everyone had the same question: "Who will be the housemates this time?" Everyone is making their own lists. But before that, there's another question: "Who will host the show this time?" The answer is none other than the charismatic King Nagarjuna. Known for his unique style, he adds his magical touch to the show, keeping the audience hooked with his sharp yet sugar-coated comments pointed to the housemates.

Why are broadcasters launching more Hindi GECs?

Market leader, Star India's success with its second channel, Life Ok (which last week took the third spot in the GEC chart, pushing Colors to the fourth slot) has definitely been an incentive for the other broadcasters to go ahead with their respective second Hindi GE channels.

Life OK bucks trend, claims spot in the sun

Ajit Thakur, general manager, Life OK, says, "As a channel, we have always followed a disruptive path. So, in the final week of the IPL, when other GECs were taking it slow, we decided to have high points in most of our shows. This has paid off. Of course, the Now Awards has contributed as well, but it's not solely responsible for the spike with a rating of around 2 TVM."
