Star TV, the broadcaster of the ongoing cricket World Cup, introduced this format via the Star Sports 4K channel launched earlier this month.
The campaign does not have the usual flag-waving ads but humorous takes on stories around India and the World Cup (WC), released right after an India match.
Star said it has 38 sponsors across various channels with more than 100 brands advertising during the World Cup. The India-Pakistan tie had 93 advertisers across television and digital platforms.
