Anupama over the course of two years, has had the fine distinction of interviewing some of the most respected and popular actors and film-makers in Bollywood across multiple genres. The show’s format includes movie reviews followed by a candid exchange with her guests from the film fraternity.

The popularity of the show stems from Anupama’s self-styled approach to reviewing movies. Anupama Chopra while reviewing a movie factors in various parameters for instance the plot, the characters, camera work, technique and direction however her underlying validation above all has been on the basis of whether a film has fulfilled the promise it made to its viewers. Anupama while certain of her reviews does admit that the audience is welcome to their opinion and has always favored feedback on her show. As a reviewer, she loves to read movie reviews by other critics and compares it watching a movie with a friend. You may not agree with your friend’s opinion but you can still have an interesting, engaging combative relationship and discuss the movie.

On this occasion Anupama Chopra said, “As a critic, I admire Anthony Lane at the New Yorker, ManohlaDargis at the New York Times and A O Scott at the New York Times. It is an education for me just to read them and I am inspired by their erudition and sheer brilliance. The Front Row is a space to celebrate movies and given our viewers response, we feel we are happy to know that they look up to The Front Row for our reviews. We’ve had so many exciting guests and such interesting conversations. We want to pave the way forward with  more ideas and fulfill ambitions on the show.
